The inMessment Game is hosted on the Investopedia Stock Simulator .
Investopedia was stared in 1999 by two guys who wanted to build
An online financial dictionary.
They grew way beyond that and were bought by Forbes Digital in 2007.
I added the inMessment Game on Investopedia in December of 2010.
The inMessment Game starts with $25,000 in virtual cash to invest.
I wanted to start with a smaller amount because I am a smaller investor.
I want this game to be similar to real life for me and other small investors.
How Do I Join?
To join the inMessment Game follow the link below to Investopedia.
If you don’t have an account already you will have to sign up for an account.
First you have to create an Investopedia profile. Standard stuff like email, name and a password. It also asks for your occupation, date of birth and gender. I assume they use these for stats on the type of users that join.
The next two steps, Newsletters and Offers, are optional. There is a skip step link at the bottom. These free options probably help Investopedia cover their expenses.
After finishing your profile creation you are ready join games. You are automatically joined to one or two of the standard Investopedia games. You can click on the Games link and search for the inMessment Game or you can:
