The third quarter of 2011 has ended. Time to review my inMessment Game results and see how I have done. I will share the Good, the Bad and the Ugly events of Q3. 
After just two days the CNBC Million Dollar Portfolio Contest is in full swing! I currently have six Equity holdings in only one of the five game portfolios. As of September 20, 2011, I am ranked 35363rd. I am not at a big risk of winning the vacation trip this week! 
Monday, August 8, 2011 the market seemed to crash! And, to make it even worse, this happened after a couple of down weeks. What should I do now? Should I buy, sell or hold?

The first quarter of 2011 has ended. This is the perfect time to review my inMessment Game results and see how I have done. This will be the very first quarterly review. I will share the Good, the Bad and the Ugly events of Q1. 
This week Standard & Poor’s Announced a change to the S&P 500 Index. I was pleased to see that they are adding BlackRock (NYSE:BLK). So if BlackRock is in that means someone else is out. It also meant a nice little bump for BlackRock. 
This week I have seen more wild behavior from the for-profit education companies. March 28th, Education Management Corp (NASDAQ:EDMC) was downgraded by some analysts and the stock tumbled over 7%. The next day EDMC bounced back up almost 6%. All the companies in my watch list were down except EDMC. 
On January 10, 2011, I added Education Management to my inMessment Game portfolio. In just 50 days, the stock rose about 36%. On March 1, I decided to take my profits on EDMC. 
Because I am planning to talk more about investing in the stock market, it only makes sense to talk about what to do before taking that step. While I feel that everyone should invest, and the earlier we start the better, it may not be the right time for everyone.
